SZI - a Chair of Memory and Form
KA

A vision shaped by space. Founded in 2022 by Nini Tchanturia, NS PRODUCT emerged from years of architectural and interior design exploration. What began with the study of space and structure soon expanded into the objects that inhabit them. Under Nini’s guidance, architecture and product design exist in dialogue - each shaped by proportion, material, and emotional resonance.

NS PRODUCT is where tactile experimentation meets spatial thinking, where forms are not only seen but felt.
Source of Inspiration Beauty in the unintentional. The project traces its quiet beginnings to Tbilisi’s cemeteries, where simple benches and chairs, born of necessity, reveal unexpected expression. Made from available materials and crafted without aesthetic intent, these objects carry traces of memory and human presence - their beauty raw, poignant, and unpolished.
The goal was never to replicate this place, but to translate its quiet emotional language: to show how ordinary forms can evoke stillness, connection and remembrance.

The Chair and the Flowers
Form meets memory. At the heart of the project stands SZ II, a metal chair, defined by clear geometry and a light, elegant
construction. Its minimal frame curves gently, softening precision and lending a quiet rhythm.
A soft, black flower drapery accompanies it - a delicate reinterpretation of the forms found in Tbilisi’s cemeteries.
These flowers transform the raw memory of the place into something tender and refined, while their black hue creates a
striking contrast with the metal frame. Together, SZ II and flowers embody a subtle duality: strength and fragility, permanence and ephemerality, anchoring the piece in both emotion and form.

Materials and Mood
Material as emotion. The metal was chosen for its structural clarity and reflective quality, softly capturing light and allowing
the environment to become part of the experience.
The hand-shaped black fabric flowers, arranged organically, introduce a human, almost sentimental presence. Every material choice responds to the concept, the mood, and the story - a quiet dialogue between structure and emotion, simplicity and depth.

In Context
A piece that speaks. Within a contemporary interior, SZ II can inhabit any space, telling its own story while adapting to its
surroundings. Its linear form integrates seamlessly into minimal settings, while the contrast between metal and textile gives it a distinct character.
Beyond function, it invites contemplation - a piece that anchors a room, provokes curiosity, and endures through time.
It embodies what design can be today: clear in form, rich in meaning, and quietly iconic.
